Here's a look at how we created this flawless, magazine-ready look.
To give her a high-fashion gaze, we focused on drama and definition. We applied a long, thick Strip Lash to create stunning volume and shape. Her eyes were defined with a Deep Black Liquid Eyeliner on the top lash line. For the eye-shadow, I based her lid with a soft, Light Brown Shimmer and contoured her eye crease with a complementary Matte Brown color for depth.
The Face
When we talked about her skincare, she mentioned that her forehead and chin tend to get oily and shiny under pressure. Keeping this in mind, I strategically applied a little of her tone Foundation, just under her eyes and on her cheeks, completely avoiding her forehead and chin.
To ensure her entire face looked clear and even, we used a Mineral Powder all over, making sure to add extra to the areas she shines in. For a flawless, matte finish, I used her skin tone all over her face and a lighter shade under her eyes to highlight. We also contoured her cheeks with a Matte Tan Brown to sculpt her features without adding any shine.
We finished the look with a bold, true-tone Red Lip Color that commanded attention. Before applying the color, we lightly outlined her lips with a Red Lip Pencil for a clean, precise shape.
The final result was a stunning, high-fashion look that celebrated her natural beauty while accommodating her specific needs.
Ingredient Spotlight:
Tin Oxide
Tin Oxide is a naturally occurring mineral compound that plays a crucial role in creating some of the most beautiful and vibrant makeup effects. While it may sound simple, this ingredient is key to achieving a variety of stunning finishes.
How It's Used in Makeup
Adds Shimmer and Luster: Tin Oxide is often used in combination with other ingredients like mica to create a brilliant pearlescent finish. It's the ingredient that helps give eyeshadows, highlighters, and shimmery blushes their incredible shine and luster.
As a Bulking Agent: In powder and pressed makeup products, Tin Oxide acts as a bulking agent. It helps to increase the volume of a formula and gives it a smooth, silky texture that applies evenly and feels lightweight on the skin.
Opacifying Agent: It also functions as an opacifier, which means it helps to make a formula opaque. This ensures that a product’s color is rich and true, without appearing transparent or dull.
You’ll often find Tin Oxide in products where a beautiful, light-reflecting shimmer is a key part of the look.
Always check the ingredients before using a new product. Your skin is the largest organ. Remember, some of what you put on your skin can be absorbed into your bloodstream
