The Violet Eye Tutorial for Brown Eyes

If you want to make your brown eyes look warmer and brighter, Violet is your secret weapon. Because purple sits across from yellow and gold on the color wheel, it draws out all those beautiful "honey" tones in your eyes.

Follow my 7-step guide to achieving this regal, polished look using your favorite products.

Step 1: The Frame (Brows)

Never skip the brows! Fill them in with a shade that matches your hair. Use your natural concealer to "carve" them out for a clean, lifted appearance.

Step 2: The Eye Art (Violet Blend)

The Base: Prep your lids with concealer.
The Transition: Sweep a light brown eye-shadow across the entire lid. This acts as a warm anchor for the color.
The Color: Using your angled brush, take a violet eye-shadow and blend from the crease upward toward the brow bone. This creates a beautiful "halo" of color.

Step 3: The Definition (Deep Purple Liner)

Instead of basic black, line your top and bottom lash lines with a Deep Purple Pencil. It’s softer than black but provides more drama than brown.

Step 4: The Lashes

Keep it classic. A few coats of LAMIK Show Out Mascara or a natural strip lash will open up the eye and finish the violet gradient.

Step 5: The Clean-Up & Complexion

Violet pigment can sometimes "fall" onto your cheeks during application. Pro-Tip: Wipe under your eyes with toner, re-moisturize, and then apply your LAMIK foundation and powder. This keeps your under-eyes looking bright, not bruised!

Step 6: The Glow (Cheeks & Contour)

Blush: Apply a soft pink-gold (like a rose gold) to the apples of your cheeks.
Contour: Use a deep brown under the cheekbones to add a sophisticated sculpt.

Step 7: The Nude Lip

Since the eyes are so vibrant, keep the lips neutral. Use a natural brown liner and a nude lip color to tie the whole look together.
