Blush is the "life" of your makeup look. It adds warmth, health, and dimension to your face. But did you know that changing the placement of your blush can actually change your entire look?

Whether you want to look more youthful, more lifted, or more "sculpted," here are 4 professional ways to apply your blush:

1. The "Lift & Glow" (Apples to Top of Ear)

Apply blush to the apples of your cheeks, then swipe upwards to highlight the cheekbones, stopping at the top of the ear.

The Result: This is a classic look. It gives you a natural flush while providing a subtle lift to your face.

2. The "Sculpted" Look (Along Cheekbones)

Apply your blush strictly along the cheekbones. Go outward and up towards the middle of the ear.

The Result: This technique acts almost like a soft contour. It defines your bone structure and makes your face look more angular and "model-ready."

3. The "Lower Lift" (Under Apples to Jawline)

Apply blush under the apples of your cheeks and sweep upwards towards the upper jawline, finishing close to the ear lobe.

The Result: This is a unique way to add color that complements a bolder eye or lip. It’s a softer approach that keeps the focus on the center of your face.

4. The "Youthful Flush" (Just the Apples)

Apply blush directly to the apples of your cheeks and blend in circular motions.

The Result: This is the most natural, "just-came-in-from-the-cold" look. Since round faces always look young (as I mentioned in my previous post!), this technique plays up that youthful, sweet energy.

Pro Tip: Choose the Right Tool!

For all 4 of these techniques, make sure you are using a soft, fluffy brush.

You want the color to look like it’s coming from your skin, not sitting on top of it.
