Deep-set eyes, for example, require a specific technical approach to bring them forward and make them shine. That expertise is worth every penny!

If you have deep-set eyes—where the eye is set further back into the skull, making the brow bone appear more prominent—here are my professional tips to help you bring those eyes into the light:

1. The Fine Line

Because deep-set eyes can sometimes be overshadowed by the brow bone, you don't want a heavy, thick liner to "close" the eye. Instead, line your eyes with a fine, dark line as close to the lashes as possible. This defines the eye without taking up valuable lid space.

2. Strategic Color Placement

This is the golden rule for deep-set eyes: Don’t put dark colors on your eyelid. Dark colors recede, which will only make the eyes look deeper. Instead, save those sultry, darker shades for your eye crease to create a beautiful, lifted shape.

3. Make Them Pop with Light

To bring the eye forward, use light to medium shades on the eyelid. Shimmers, pastels, or light neutrals catch the light and create the illusion that the eye is more prominent. This simple switch makes an incredible difference!

4. Lift the Brow

Always highlight your brow bone. Use a shade slightly lighter than your skin tone or a soft highlighter. This creates a clean "frame" and pulls the focus upward, giving your face an instant "eye-lift" effect.

5. The Power of the Lash

When in doubt, add a lash! Fake lashes are a great way to make deep-set eyes pop. They draw attention outward and add a layer of glamour that prevents the eyes from getting "lost" under the brow bone.
