There is no greater compliment than when a client sits in my chair and says, "Just make me beautiful." For this specific client, she admitted she had never worn makeup before. She was terrified of "overdoing it" or looking like someone she didn't recognize. My mission was to prove that you don’t have to over-apply to stand out. By using colors close to her natural skin tone and focusing on seamless blending, we made an impact that felt like her—only enhanced.

Here is how we achieved this soft, sophisticated "I am BEAUTY" look:

Step 1: The "Natural Pop" Brow

We started with the LAMIK Brow Kit. To give her a subtle lift that didn't look artificial, I custom-blended her exact skin-tone concealer with a shade slightly lighter for the brow highlight.

Pro-Tip: To make sure the area above the brow didn't look "chalky" or over-highlighted, I blended a tiny bit of her actual foundation over the edges of the brow highlight. This melts the brow into the forehead perfectly.

Step 2: Custom Tone Foundation

When someone is afraid of makeup, the match must be perfect. We used LAMIK Custom Blend Full Coverage Foundation and True Mineral Powder. Because these are true-to-tone, they vanished into her skin, evening out her complexion without looking like a mask.

Step 3: Softly Defined Eyes

Instead of heavy shadows, I used our Medium Brown Eye Powder to lightly contour her eyelids. For a tiny touch of light, I placed a light tan shimmer right under the brighten cream in her arch. It catches the light only when she moves!

Step 4: The Bronze Glow (No Blush)

She wanted to keep it earthy and clean. Instead of using pinks or roses on her cheeks, I used a Bronze Summer Brown above her cheekbones. This gave her a sun-kissed, bronze finish. To add a final "extra" highlight, I swept a True Mineral Powder one shade lighter than her skin across the high points of her face.

Step 5: The Naked Lip

Since she wasn't ready for lip color, we kept it simple and chic. We based her lips with her foundation to neutralize any uneven tones and finished with a Clear Lip Gloss for moisture and shine.

The Result: Confidence

When she looked in the mirror, she didn't see a face full of makeup—she saw herself. She walked out knowing that she doesn't need to "do the most" to be the most beautiful woman in the room. We ended up added lashes to give her a extra pop. We used a set of small-medium strip lashes,
