A Gift to Yourself
I truly believe that you are blessed in all you do. Your face is a reflection of that blessing, and taking the time to apply your makeup with care is a way of honoring yourself.
I know that applying foundation can feel really hard—finding the right shade and getting that smooth finish is a challenge for many. But it doesn’t have to be! Follow these professional steps to apply your foundation flawlessly every single time.
Try different types and brands of foundation. They each look and feel different.Step 1: Find Your True Match
The most important step is ensuring your foundation matches your skin tone as closely as possible. Don't guess! It is always best to go to a professional to find your shade.
Pro-Tip: I recommend having three shades in your kit: 1 perfect tone, 1 lighter shade, and 1 darker shade. This allows you to adjust your color as the seasons change! Need help? Send a clear photo of your face in natural light to beautybyjetara@gmail.com, and I will send you my professional suggestions.
Step 2: The Jawline Test
Before applying it to your whole face, swipe a little color on your jawline. If the color looks off, don't be afraid to mix your shades together until it disappears into your skin.
Step 3: Work from the Center Out
Start in the center of your face, right under the eyes, and blend downward toward the jawline. This ensures the most coverage is where you usually need it most.
Step 4: The Forehead Technique
Apply foundation to the center of your forehead and work outward toward the hairline. Be careful to blend right up to the hair so there are no visible lines.
Step 5: The Details
Apply a small amount of foundation to your nose, chin, and around the mouth. These areas often need the least amount of product, so keep it light!
Step 6: Blend and Build
It is always better to start with a little and build up if you need more coverage. Check your jawline, forehead, and the area around your eyes one last time. Ensure everything is blended perfectly with no creases or "mask" lines.
The Golden Rule: Tools Matter
Do not apply your foundation with your fingers! For a professional, airbrushed finish, use a clean sponge or a foundation brush. Most importantly—keep them clean. Wash your tools after use to keep your skin healthy and your application smooth.Stay blessed and stay beautiful!
