I have a saying that I live by: "You’re only as beautiful as you allow yourself to be." Beauty starts with your mindset and who you trust with your face.

For years, I have heard the "brow horror stories." Clients come into my chair complaining about how their brows were treated in the past—ends cut off, uneven shapes, or even holes left behind. If you’ve been there, I hear you! That’s why I always take the time to reassure my clients: I am a professional, I have the skill, and I am going to take my time. Your brows are too important to rush.

The JT Philosophy: Keep What You Have

My rule is simple: If you have thick brows before you get them shaped, you should have thick brows when you are done. We shouldn't be "thinning" you out just to follow a trend. When I worked with my recent client, we focused on cleaning and defining. We only took a few stray hairs from above and below the brow bone to reveal her natural, beautiful arch.

The Finish: The Celebrity Treatment

Once the shape was perfect, we used the LAMIK Celebrity Brow Kit (shades Southside/K33) to fill them in.

To get that professional, effortless look at home, remember these two rules:

Don't Hide the Hair: Unless you are going for a very dramatic, theatrical look, you should still be able to see your natural brow hairs through the powder. The powder is there to enhance, not to paint on a new face.
The "Natural" Highlight: When using your Brighten Cream to clean up the edges, make sure it is just a little lighter than your skin tone. You want a natural highlight that lifts the eye, not a harsh white line.
