Highlights from the Women’s Business Expo

Did you know that women-owned businesses are one of the fastest-growing segments of our economy? According to the U.S. Census, women-owned businesses grew by 30% in just a five-year span! Despite this growth, we know that it can be harder for women to secure the funding and resources needed to start.

That is why community and support are so vital. Since 2007, I have had the honor of working for LAMIK, a woman-owned business that truly walks the walk. We attend several Women’s Expos throughout the year every year to empower others to step into their own business journey and to support our fellow sisters in commerce.

Glamour on the Expo Floor

Texas Women's Business Expo was incredible! We stayed busy at the booth providing touch-ups and showing the city what LAMIK can do. Check out some of my favorite moments:

  • Flawless Faces: I loved seeing the up-close shots of our gorgeous clients. Whether it was a full makeover or just a quick touch-up for the stage, everyone left feeling "Photo Ready."

The Power of the Brow: You know my motto—Great Brows = Love Your Beauty! We had so many guests stop by for a brow transformation using the LAMIK Brow Kit.



Metallic Magic: Two best friends came by the booth and left  rocking the metallic trend! They wore Capture (a bold metallic orange) and New Day (a stunning metallic purple). These shades are definite conversation starters!




Mineral Magic: I had several ladies ask for a "no-foundation" look. We used only the LAMIK True Mineral Powder, which gives light, breathable coverage while perfectly evening out the skin tone.



Celebrity Inspiration: A huge highlight was hearing the legendary actress Jasmine Guy speak. She shared powerful insights on the importance of women in business and the impact we have on our communities.

Building Each Other Up

Seeing the talent and drive at these Expos reminded me why I love what I do. We aren't just selling makeup; we are providing the confidence for women to go out and conquer the business world!

Peach Eyeshadow: A Secret Weapon for Stunning Eyes

This is a great look for anyone, but it's especially striking on people with green eyes or when you're wearing green. Get the Look: A Step-by-Step Guide Ready to recreate this stunning makeup look? Here’s a breakdown of the products and techniques we used. Step 1: Brows For a clean, defined brow, we used the LAMIK Revelation Brow Duo . I applied the dark brown powder and then sculpted the brows with thefor a finished look.
