Trying a new lip color can be scary. Will it look good? Will people like it?

For me, the answer is always yes. I feel any and every color looks good on me, and that's all that matters. When someone has an opinion about my makeup, I look them right in the eye and say, 'Sorry...I ain't sorry!'

My beauty is my choice, and I tell my clients the same thing. Don't let anyone's negative comments get to you. It doesn't matter if anyone else likes your look, as long as YOU LOVE IT!

Before I try any new lip color, my first step is always to do a good lip scrub and a hydrating lip mask. This simple prep ensures my lips are smooth and supple, which makes the color go on flawlessly and last longer.

For this look I lined my lips with a deep plum lip liner and filled in my lips with a deep purple lipstick. For extra shine I added LAMIK Inspiring Glow Gloss on top.

Adorned in pearls, a reflection of my June-born soul.

I used a light purple eye shadow and an angled brush to sweep a pop of color under my eye. This shade created a beautiful, soft blend with the black eyeliner I was wearing, adding an unexpected and vibrant touch to the look.

To balance a bolder eye and lip, I went with a subtle cheek. I swept a brown-red blush along the tops of my cheekbones, then layered a light golden bronze over it to create a soft, blended glow.

A dark lip and a touch of black eyeliner is a combination that never fails.
