Get a behind-the-scenes look at one of my past photo-shoot where I got a model ready for spring!

To quickly elevate this look, we used a pair of strip lashes. A great benefit of using strip lashes is that the model can easily remove them with a little cleanser at the end of the day.

For anyone looking to try them, some of my favorite lashes come from Ardell. They offer a fantastic range of styles, from natural to dramatic. When I'm shopping, I always look for a clear or very thin black lash band for the most seamless and comfortable fit.

For her brows, I used the LAMIK REVELATION BROW DUO in 'Dark Brown/Excellence'. To make her brow arch stand out, I highlighted it with the LAMIK ELOQUENCE SCULPTING CREAM, which is one shade lighter than her natural color. You can easily buy a Sculpting Cream refill, so there’s no need to replace the entire kit.

Get the Look: The Details

To create this look, I focused on making the eyes pop with a few key products.

For the eyeliner, I used a dark green eye shadow with a subtle shimmer. To try this shade for yourself, check out the one I used here.

When applying the color, I used a flat eye shadow brush to get a precise line. Finding the perfect tool can make all the difference, and while I’m always searching for new favorites, this one is a reliable go-to: Flat Eye Shadow Brush.

Finally, I applied LAMIK Show Out Mascara to both her strip lashes and bottom lashes. I absolutely love this mascara because it makes lashes pop, whether you're wearing falsies or going for a more natural look. You can get yours here: LAMIK Show Out Mascara.

Get the Look: The Lips

To get this look, I first lined her lips with a deep purple liner. You can't beat the price and incredible pigment of NYX lip liners; you can find the one I used here.

Next, I filled in the center of her lips with a mulberry matte lipstick to add depth and dimension. This shade is a great option to get the same look.

For a final touch of shine, I applied LAMIK Impressive Glow Gloss—a beautiful berry-toned gloss with just a hint of pigment. You can get yours here.

Get the Look: The Eyes

To make the eyes truly pop, I applied a bright yellow to her lid. For a bold and long-lasting finish, I layered the color using a flat eye-shadow brush.

When shopping for products, I use many different brands, but I always make sure they are talc and paraben-free. If you want to try a yellow with incredible pigment, this one is a great place to start.

Get the Look: The Details

To create depth, I used a dome eye-shadow brush to blend a vibrant green into her crease. While I'm still on the hunt for the perfect brush, I find that this one gets the job done and is a great vegan option.

To keep the look cohesive, I used the same green color to create a sharp liner. For this step, I used the LAMIK Power Duo Brush to get a precise application, making sure the liner did not cover the bright yellow on her lid.

Triethylhexanoin

Triethylhexanoin is a synthetic, colorless, and odorless ingredient that is widely used in cosmetics for its versatility. It's a key player in many products, from moisturizers to lipsticks.

Key Functions & Benefits

Solvent: It helps dissolve and evenly distribute other ingredients in a formula.
Occlusive Agent: It forms a protective barrier on the skin to help lock in moisture and prevent water loss.
Emollient & Humectant: It works as a skin-conditioning emollient to soften and smooth the skin's texture. It can also act as a humectant, drawing moisture to the skin's surface.
Hair Conditioner: In hair care products, it helps to soften and condition the hair.

At a Glance

Origin: A synthetic mixture of glycerin and 2-ethylhexanoic acid.
Safety: It is considered safe for cosmetic use, with usage concentrations ranging from low percentages to as high as 100% in certain products.
Common Use: You'll find it in a wide range of products, including face and neck treatments, lipsticks, and other leave-on skincare. While high concentrations are safe, it's most commonly used in amounts between 3-5% in many skincare products.

Always check the ingredients before using a new product. Your skin is the largest organ. Remember, some of what you put on your skin can be absorbed into your bloodstream
