The secret to working with freckles is balance. You want to even out the skin tone and neutralize redness without creating a "flat" or "cakey" look that hides the skin's character.
Step 1: The Custom Canvas We used LAMIK Full Coverage Foundation (M24) to even out her skin tone.
The Pro-Trick: To keep the dimension in her face, I set under her eyes with Warm Vanilla True Mineral Powder for a brightening effect, and used Rich Vanilla True Mineral Powder everywhere else.
Step 2: Let the Skin Breathe After applying the foundation, some of her freckles were still softly peeking through. We left them alone! By not piling on extra concealer, the makeup looks like skin, not a mask. This is how you achieve that "Clear yet Natural" finish.
Step 3: Subtle Eyes We kept the eyes bright and earthy. I applied Dewy Eye Décor to her lids for a soft glow and used Southside Purdy Brow Define Powder in her crease.
Artist Secret: Using a brow powder in the crease is my favorite way to get a perfectly matte, natural-looking shadow!
Step 4: The "Speechless" Lip She wanted to keep her lips understated. We used Speechless Healthy Lipstick and topped it with Clear Slick Lip Gloss for a hydrated, "your-lips-but-better" finish.
💡Timeless Truth:
"Freckles are like stars on your skin—they are unique to you! You don't have to hide who you are to look 'polished.' True makeup artistry isn't about what you can cover up; it's about what you can bring out. When you feel like yourself, only better, that's when you've found your perfect look."
Always check the ingredients before using a new product. Your skin is the largest organ. Remember, some of what you put on your skin can be absorbed into your bloodstream
