Step 1: Brows
Begin by filling in your brows with a brow powder that matches your hair color. For this look, we used the LAMIK Revelation Brow Duo. Next, highlight your brows using a sculpting cream that matches your skin tone to create a clean, defined arch.
Step 2: Eyes
Prime your eyelids with a concealer that matches your skin tone. Apply Bronze Brown eye décor all over your lid. Then, using the same brush, apply Cobalt Blue eye décor to your crease, blending the two colors together. For an extra highlight, clean your brush with a dry cleaner and blend Golden eye décor right above your cobalt blue.
Step 3: Liner
For a pop of unexpected color, use your Duo Brow Brush to apply Deep Green with Shine eye décor along your bottom lash line. For a classic look on top, line your eye with a liquid eyeliner.
Step 4: Lashes
Give your eyes some drama by applying a medium strip lash. After the lashes are secure, blend your natural lashes with the falsies using a great mascara.
Step 5: Face
Cover any dark spots with a concealer that matches your skin tone, then apply a full coverage foundation with your foundation brush. Use a kabuki brush to apply a mineral powder to set the foundation.
Step 6: Cheeks
Contour your cheeks by applying a Deep Orange Brown Contour Blush just under your cheekbones. Highlight the tops of your cheekbones with Pastel Pink Blush and give your cheeks a healthy glow by applying Pink Highlight Blush to the apples of your cheeks.
Step 7: Lips
For a natural finish, base your lips with a concealer. Use a Light Brown lip liner to define your lip shape, then fill in the middle with a Light Brown lipstick. Finish the look with a Clear Gloss with a little shine.
Ingredient Spotlight:
Red 28 Lake (CI 45410)
Red 28 Lake (CI 45410) is a synthetic pigment that is responsible for many of the vibrant pink and fuchsia shades you see in cosmetics today. It is a "lake" pigment, which means a water-soluble dye has been converted into an insoluble pigment, making it ideal for use in makeup.
How It's Used in Makeup
Provides Vibrant Color: As a coloring agent, Red 28 Lake is essential for creating a wide range of intense pink, magenta, and fuchsia hues. Its high color payoff makes it a staple in products where bold pigment is needed.
Stable & Long-Lasting: Because it is an insoluble pigment, it is highly stable and resistant to bleeding or fading. This is why it's a go-to ingredient for long-lasting lipsticks, glosses, and blushes, where it ensures the color stays put.
Versatile Use: This pigment can be used on its own or blended with other colors to create custom shades. You'll commonly find it in products for the lips and cheeks, where its vibrant color creates a beautiful pop.
Always check the ingredients before using a new product. Your skin is the largest organ. Remember, some of what you put on your skin can be absorbed into your bloodstream
