Sonserae, looks absolutely flawless in her custom-made half wig from the Blush Collection. For our "Love Your Beauty" photo shoot, our on-site hair team, Houston's favorite stylist Jarad OneTouch Reed (@jtouch), created a seamless blend with her natural hair styled in the front. Sonserae's natural hair was a perfect match for the body and texture of the wig.

Polybutene

Polybutene is a synthetic polymer that's a staple in many cosmetic formulas, especially those that need to stay put. While it may not sound familiar, it's a key reason your favorite lip gloss has that perfect shine and long-lasting feel.

How It's Used in Makeup

  • Creates Adhesion: Polybutene acts as a binding agent, giving products their smooth, slightly tacky texture. This helps formulas adhere to the skin, which is why it's so common in long-wearing lipsticks, lip glosses, and eyeliners.

  • Thickens Formulas: As a thickening agent, it helps to build viscosity and prevent products from feeling too thin or runny. This ensures a consistent, easy application and a full, luxurious feel.

  • Forms a Protective Film: It creates a water-repellent film on the skin, which helps to extend the wear of makeup and provide a glossy, high-shine finish.
