But my journey with skin and self-image started long before I became an Esthetician. It started with my mother.
The Foundation of Drive
Growing up, my mom always made sure that I knew I was beautiful. She kept me active—playing outside, learning new hobbies, and constantly doing. I am so thankful for that because I connect my professional drive directly to those early years of being encouraged to "do."
She taught me that when you love what you see in the mirror, you have the confidence to take on the world. And taking on the world should be everyone's goal!
Paying it Forward: Mentorship and Style
I wasn't blessed with children of my own, so I take every chance I can to give a single mother a break and help pour into her kids. I took some of my favorite boys to get haircuts so they could feel their best.
We went to Texas Barber College—the same place where I earned my license. I knew they were in great hands, and seeing them walk out with that "fresh cut" confidence reminded me that the "Reveal" isn't just for women. It’s for anyone who wants to stand a little taller.
✨ Feeding the Glow: Great Food for GREAT SKIN
My mother taught me to clean, tone, and moisturize at a young age, but my professional training taught me to feed the skin from within. If you want your foundation to go on smoother, start in the kitchen:
Dark Leafy Greens: To fight inflammation.
Yogurt: For a balanced gut and clear skin.
Ripe Tomatoes: For natural skin protection.
Berries: To fight free radicals.
Salmon: For those healthy fats that give you a "lit-from-within" glow.

💡 JeTara’s Timeless Truth:
"Confidence starts at home. Whether it's teaching a child to love their reflection or feeding your body the nutrients it needs to glow, beauty is a practice of self-respect. When you look your best, you are ready to take on the world—and the world is waiting for you."
Always check the ingredients before using a new product. Your skin is the largest organ. Remember, some of what you put on your skin can be absorbed into your bloodstream
