The "Simple but Bold" Lilac Glow

We all have those days where we want to meet the girls for cocktails and look absolutely stunning without looking like we tried too hard. One of my regular clients came in with a specific request: "Give me something simple, but bold."

As an Esthetician, my goal is always the same: A full face of makeup shouldn't look FAKE—it should just look flawless. Here is the step-by-step breakdown of how we achieved this soft, lilac-inspired radiance.

Get The Look: Step-by-Step

Step 1: The Frame (Brows) We started with LAMIK Dark Brown Brow Define Powder. To give her an instant eye-lift, I used a Sculpting Cream lighter than her skin tone directly under the arch. Then, I used her exact skin-tone Sculpting Cream on top of the brow to clean up the shape. This "sandwich" technique gives a natural pop that looks clean, not painted on.

Step 2: The Pop (Eyes) I used one single eye decor—LAMIK Retro—and applied it from the lid to just above the crease.

  • Pro Tip: I used my finger to blend the color and the brighten cream together under the arch for a seamless transition.

  • Shop the Look: Retro is currently off the market, but you can head over to the Mommy Makeup Store and grab "Elsa"—a pale shimmering lilac—to get this exact same effect!


Step 3 & 4: The Definition (Liner & Lashes) To make the lilac pop, we went bold with a Black Liquid Liner and applied a set of Short Cluster Lashes. Clusters are great because they give you volume without the "heavy" look of a full strip.

Step 5: The Canvas (Face) First, I used her skin-tone LAMIK Sculpting Cream to spot-conceal any dark spots. Then, we applied LAMIK Custom Blend Full Coverage Foundation all over and set it with True Mineral Powder to ensure she stayed matte all night.

Step 6: The Glow (Cheeks) For the cheeks, we chose a Pink with Brown Undertones and a hint of shimmer. I placed this right on the cheekbone to give her a healthy, "lit-from-within" flush.

Step 7: The Finish (Lips) When you have a colorful eye, you need a balanced lip. We finished with a True Mauve Lipstick. Mauve is the perfect neutral tone to complement a lilac eye without competing with it.
