The Gentle Art of Contouring: Enhancing Your Natural Beauty
Let me start by saying this: I do not normally do a lot of heavy contouring on a woman's face during a natural makeup application.
Why? Because too much contouring can make a woman look "hard," taking away from her inherent beauty. I encourage women to love the face they see in the mirror and use makeup only to lightly enhance their God-given beauty. Plus, heavy contouring can take a long time and often involve unnecessary steps.
However, a subtle touch of contour can make features, like the nose, appear more defined and lifted. Here are the simple steps we followed for a natural makeup look, including a refined nose contour that avoids the "over-powdered" effect.
Simple Steps for a Defined Look (No Over-Contouring!)
Step 1: Brows
Define the frame of the face to set the stage for subtle contouring.
We used LAMIK Dark Brown brow powder to fill in the brows.
We cleaned and highlighted the brow bone with Eloqouce Suplting cream.
Step 2 & 3: Eyes and Liner
We kept the eye simple but defined to keep the focus balanced.
Eyes: A wash of Meticl Purpule eye décor across the lid.
Liner: A sharp line with BLACK liquid eyeliner.
Step 4: Lashes
We applied strip lashes for an immediate lift and eye-opening effect.

Step 5: Face & Foundation (The Contour Secret)
This is where we achieve the contour using creams and powders strategically:
Brighten (Highlight): We applied K31 Brighten Cream (two shades lighter than her skin tone) heavily under her eyes, down the bridge of her nose, and on her chin.
Contour (Shade): We used K33 (her natural skin tone brighten cream—which acts as a subtle shade since it’s darker than the K31) down the sides of her nose and under her cheekbone.
Foundation: We blended M21 (two shades lighter than her skin tone) over the K31 highlighted areas and applied M23 (her perfect skin tone color) all over the rest of the face.
Set: We set the foundation with Warm Vanilla true mineral powder all over her face, and used Light Vanilla True Mineral Powder under her eyes for extra staying power and brightness.
We applied Pastel Pink eye decor gently to her cheekbone for a youthful flush.
Then, we placed I 20 Contour Blush under her cheekbone for subtle definition.
Step 7: Lips
We finished the look with a soft, beautiful color: ROMANTIC PINK lipstick.
By using creams and foundations strategically, you can sculpt your features without looking harsh or spending hours on powder blending. Embrace your face and simply enhance the beauty that is already there!
