Why I’m Trading Sleep for Breakfast

I’ll be the first to admit it: I am NOT a morning person.

For years, I was the queen of sleeping until the very last second. But things are changing. With so many big goals in front of my face right now—from the new shop to growing Beauty By JeTara—I realized I can’t afford to start my day on empty anymore. To get where I’m going, I have to change my habits.

Lately, that means getting up every morning and actually cooking a real breakfast.

The Morning Menu

Today, I whipped up a veggie-packed omelet and paired it with some Teavana Fruta Bomba Hot Tea. It’s the perfect way to wake up my senses before I start picking up makeup brushes and wig needles.

My Go-To Omelet:

2 Eggs
Fresh Mushrooms & Onions
Carrots (for a little crunch!)
Green & Yellow Peppers
Mixed Cheese

The "Step-By-Step" Strategy

Just like I’m building my business step-by-step, I’m doing the same with my health. I cut my omelet in half and save the second portion for the next day. I’ve found that if I plan out my meals, I actually eat—and more importantly, I feel better. My energy is higher, my focus is sharper, and I’m ready to handle whatever the day throws at me.

You can’t build a dream on an empty stomach. If you’re chasing big goals this year, make sure you’re fueling your body as much as you’re fueling your ambition.
