Looking Back to Leap Forward

They say time flies when you’re having fun, but I think time flies when you’re evolving.

Lately, I’ve been taking a moment to look back at my journey. From the day I walked into Esthetician school in 2006 (shoutout to my mom for that 6-month push!) to working with LAMIK; the road hasn’t always been easy, but it has always been beautiful.

Celebrating milestones isn’t just about patting yourself on the back; it’s about recognizing the resilience it took to get here. Check out these photo's from the LAMIK 10 year anniversary in Houston at the Flagship River Oaks store.

My Journey Milestones

  • 2006: The Pivot. Choosing skin care over the "traditional" college path at TSU. This was the year I decided my "billboard" was worth investing in.

  • The LAMIK Discovery. Finding a brand that aligned with my values and allowed me to work events and sell products..

  • The Retail Grind. Managing counters at Dillard’s and learning the beauty business.

  • The Present: Being in a position to mentor other women. A expert in not only makeup but waxing, skin care, and hair. Along with helping you Love Your Beauty every single day.

In the beauty world, we are always looking for the "next" thing—the next product, the next facial, the next trend. But if we don't stop to look at how far our skin (and our soul) has come, we miss the point.

Peach Eyeshadow: A Secret Weapon for Stunning Eyes

Get the Look: A Step-by-Step Guide Ready to recreate this stunning makeup look? Here’s a breakdown of the products and techniques we used.
