Looking back at these photos from a GRS Event, I’m reminded of why I do what I do. The energy there was all about one thing: learning your beauty and loving it.
It wasn't just about makeup; I learned the art of head wraps and how to choose colors that reflect my mood. I even treated myself to a gorgeous new bag from shoebagmoblie.com! But the biggest takeaway was the reminder that "Love Your Beauty" requires a routine.
To look and feel your best, you have to show up for yourself every single day.
Here is how I break down my self-care:

Daily: Fuel and Foundation
Beauty starts from the inside. Every day, I focus on:
Skincare: I never skip my routine. Clean skin is the best canvas for any makeover.
Nutrition: Picking the right foods isn't just about weight; it’s about energy. Since my journey with diabetes prevention began, I’ve realized that what I eat is my fuel for my day.
We check our brows and our lashes, but how often do we check our hearts?
Once a week, I make it a priority to:
Journal: Writing to myself helps clear the "noise" and keeps me focused on my goals.
Connect: I pick up the phone and speak to a friend. Community is a vital part of staying beautiful on the inside.
Monthly: Get Out and Glow
I believe everyone should do at least one event a month. Whether it’s a beauty workshop like GRS, a local meetup, or just a night out with family, getting out of the house and into the world keeps your spirit fresh. It’s a chance to wear that bold lip, try a new lash look, and celebrate who you are!
