My Night at the D-Mars Celebration

There is a specific kind of magic that happens when a room full of ambitious, high-achieving people get together. I’m still buzzing from looking back at the photos from the D-Mars Celebration of the Year! It was a night of excellence, and a huge highlight for me was getting to meet the incredible Wendy Raquel Robinson.

She was as gracious as she is talented, and it reminded me why I love what I do. As an Esthetician and a LAMIK representative, nights like these aren't just "parties"—they are the fuel for my business.

Why Networking is My Secret Weapon

I’ve been in the beauty industry since 2006, and if there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s that your network determines your net worth. For me, networking serves three major purposes:

Building My Client Base: You can be the best Esthetician in the world, but if you stay in your treatment room, nobody knows you're there! Meeting people face-to-face allows them to see my skin and my passion before they ever book an appointment.
Access to Elite Events: One conversation can lead to a vendor table at a major empowerment event or a backstage pass to a fashion show. Networking opens doors that a simple "cold call" never could.
The Joy of the Occasion: Let’s be real—I love to get cute! Networking gives me a reason to pull out the high-fashion looks, style my favorite 4C units, and show the world what "Studio Ready" looks like.

Dressing the Part

When I go to events like a D-Mars Networking Event, my makeup is my calling card. I need a look that says "Professional Esthetician" but also "Style Icon."
