Behind the Scenes with Lord & Lord Designs

I always say, "You have to reach for your dreams," and sometimes those dreams lead you to incredible collaborations. While working inside the LAMIK Flagship Store, I had the joy of designing the makeup looks for the Lord & Lord Designs website shoot.

It was a dynamic three-model shoot featuring @itsdonbenjamin and @reminiscemesh (check my previous post for her purple smoky eye look!). Today, I’m sharing the breakdown for the gorgeous @kiarashanae. We went with a rich, Brown Smoky Eye paired with a vibrant Peach-Orange lip—a look that is pure sophisticated glamour.

Follow the LAMIK 7 Steps to get the look:

Step 1: The Foundation (Brows)

Every great look starts with the frame. We used her hair-tone brow powder from the LAMIK Brow Kit to fill, then carved out the shape with skin-tone concealer for a sharp, professional finish.

Step 2: The Deep Smoky Eye

We wanted drama and texture. I applied a Deep Brown-Red with glitter Eye Décor from the lid all the way to the crease. To ensure a seamless transition, I blended the edges using Brighten Cream just at the bottom of the brow arch.

Step 3: Dual-Texture Liner

For eyes that pop on camera, use a Black Liquid Liner on the top for a crisp line, and a Black Powder Eye Décor on the bottom lash line for a softer, smudged effect.

Step 4: The Statement Lash

We doubled up on the drama! First, a few coats of LAMIK Show Out Mascara, followed by a long strip lash to give that "Top Model" flutter.

Step 5: Photo-Ready Skin

To ensure the skin looked flawless under the studio lights, we used our Custom Blend Full Coverage Foundation and set everything with True Mineral Powder for a velvety, long-wearing finish.

Step 6: The "Dewy" Sculpt

This is a pro-tip! We applied Pink Shimmer Contour Blush on the cheekbones. Then, for a custom highlight, I mixed a bit of Light True Mineral Powder with Dewy Eye Décor and swept it across the high points of the cheeks.

Step 7: The Peach-Orange Lip

To balance the deep eyes, we went with a warm, bright lip. I lined the lips with Maple Lip Liner and filled them in with our vibrant Peach Lip Gloss.
