Reveal Your Beauty: The LAMIK 7-Step Tutorial

One of the most frequent questions I get in my chair is, "JeTara, how do I get the look at home?" The secret isn't in how much makeup you apply; it’s in the 7 Steps to Reveal Your Beauty. Today, I’m breaking down a look I created that features a pop of shimmering yellow and a classic glossy red lip.

Step 1: The Brows (The Transformation)

This look was created for a beautiful Prom Queen who had a very specific request: she wanted a lighter, softer brow look but was not ready to dye or tint her natural hair.

To achieve this without chemicals, I used LAMIK Medium Brown Brow Define Powder to softly fill in her shape. Because the powder sits on the hair and skin, it can actually "lighten" the appearance of very dark brows by adding a warmer, softer tone. I finished by using a Sculpting Cream in her skin tone to highlight the arch, which makes the brow look clean and intentional without being too heavy.

Step 2: The Eyes (The Sparkle)

For the lid, we went bold with a bright yellow with sparkles Eye Décor. To add depth, I used that same Medium Brown Brow Define Powder to contour the crease. Pro-Tip: Using your brow powder in your crease is the best way to keep your look cohesive!

Step 3: The Liner (The Definition)

Forget harsh pencils! I used soft black Brow Define Powder on the top and bottom lash lines. Then, for an extra "pop," I lined under the bottom lash line with more of that sparkling yellow Eye Décor.

Step 4: The Lashes (The Drama)

No look is complete without a few coats of LAMIK Show Out Mascara on the natural lashes. It opens the eye and keeps the focus on that beautiful yellow shimmer.

Step 5: The Face (The Canvas)

We used a Custom Blend Full Coverage Foundation to seamlessly cover any dark spots. To ensure the look stays "Billboard Ready" all day, I set everything with True Mineral Powder.

Step 6: The Cheeks (The Glow)

I applied a pink with brown undertone and shimmer Contour Blush right on the cheekbone. It adds just enough flush and glow without taking away from the eyes and lips.

Step 7: The Lips (The Finale)

We finished strong with a Chestnut Lip Liner and filled it in with a glossy RED lip gloss. It’s the perfect mix of classic and high-shine!
