Ingredients, Texture, and The Art of Mixing
One of the most common questions I get in the chair is: "JT, what kind of foundation should I be using?" The truth is, it depends on two things: what is inside the product and the specific look you are going for.
I don’t just grab a bottle off the shelf. I care deeply about the ingredients I put on your skin, and I often mix these formulas together to create a custom finish that a single product just can't achieve on its own.

The Foundations of Your Look
Cream Foundation
The Vibe: Heavy Coverage.
Best For: Stage makeup, photo shoots, or when you need a flawless, high-glam finish. It can be on the heavier side, so it's perfect for those "red carpet" moments.
Powder Foundation
The Vibe: Light Coverage.
JT’s Ingredient Tip: Avoid talc-based powders! I always look for Rice Powder based because it is the best for your skin. It’s breathable, absorbs oil, and gives a soft-focus finish.
Liquid Foundation
The Vibe: Medium Coverage.
JT’s Favorite: I prefer water-based liquid foundation. They keep the skin hydrated and provide a beautiful, natural glow that doesn't feel "cakey.

The Secret is in the Mix
While each of these can be used separately, I mostly use a mix of products. Depending on the look we want, I might layer a liquid for a glowy base and then "spot treat" with a cream for coverage, or set everything with a rice powder for a velvet finish.
By mixing textures, we can create a look that is:
Long-lasting (Stage-ready)
Skin-like (Natural look)
Corrective (Hiding dark spots without looking heavy)

Why Ingredients Matter
I care most about the health of your skin. Whether we use one or all three together, I ensure the ingredients—like water and rice powders—are working with your skin, not against it.
"Your foundation shouldn't just hide your skin; it should nourish it while giving you the exact level of 'glam' you desire."
