Keep Your Brows on Point ALWAYS
We’ve all been there—you’re two weeks out from your last wax, and you see a stray hair. Your first instinct is to grab the tweezers and go to town. Stop right there!
To keep your brows looking professional and full, I recommend getting a professional shape every 2 weeks to a month. If life gets busy and you have to go longer than a month, follow these expert tips to tame your brows without ruining your shape.
The Golden Rules of Brow Alignment
Before you touch a single hair, remember these three "landmarks" for a perfect brow:
The Front: The start of your brow should align perfectly with the upper bridge of your nose.
The Arch: The peak of your brow should be directly above the middle of your eyeball.
The Tail: The end of your brow should taper off into a clean, sharp angle.
The LAMIK "Safe Tweeze" Method
If you MUST tweeze, follow this professional secret to ensure you don’t overdo it:
First, fill in your brows exactly how you like them using your LAMIK Brow Kit.
Apply your Brighten Cream to highlight and "frame" the brow.
ONLY tweeze the hairs that are covered by the Brighten Cream or that clearly stand out far away from your filled-in shape. If it’s inside the "colored" area, leave it for your pro!
Taming the Length
Sometimes it’s not the growth, but the length that makes brows look messy.
To Trim: Use a spoolie to brush your brow hairs straight up. Use small beauty scissors to trim only the very ends of the hairs that extend past your natural shape.
Check for Symmetry
Step back from the mirror! Make sure your brows are even from the inside corner, through the arch, all the way down the tail. Looking at your face as a whole helps prevent you from getting "tweezer-happy" on just one side.
Don’t Wait Too Long!
While these tips will keep you looking fresh, nothing beats a professional LAMIK shaping to keep your features lifted and your look on point.
Is it time for your touch-up?
