Don't Let Dark Spots Dull Your Sparkle

I recently had a client come into the studio with a concern I hear all the time: "JT, can I really wear a bright, bold eye look when I have dark spots on my skin?"

My answer was instant: Absolutely! First of all, let’s clear the air—dark spots are no big deal. Everyone has them. They don't have to define your look or stop you from experimenting with color. With the right technique and the LAMIK Custom Blend Full Coverage Foundation, we can create a flawless canvas that lets your eyes be the star of the show.

The Transformation: A Lesson in Color

Check out these steps (and the photos!) from our recent lesson:

Step 1: Frame the Face We started by filling in her brows using the LAMIK Brow Kit. A defined brow instantly brings structure to the face, making everything else easier to blend.

Step 2: The Bright Eye We didn't play it safe! I applied a Matte Lilac Eye Décor all over the lid and used a Blue Jeans Eye Décor in the crease for depth. To add a touch of warmth, I lined under her eyes with a Golden Eye Décor. We finished the eyes with a Large Strip Lash and lined the top and bottom with Black with Sparkles Eye Décor for that extra "wow" factor.

Step 3: The Flawless Cover Here is how we handled the dark spots:

Spot Treat: I first applied Brighten Cream directly to the dark spots to neutralize them.
Blend: I applied LAMIK Custom Blend Full Coverage Foundation all over her face. Because it's custom-blended, it looks like skin, not a mask!
Set: We locked it all in with LAMIK True Mineral Powder.

Step 4: Sculpt & Glow To bring back the dimension, I contoured her cheeks with Rose Brown Contour Blush. It adds a healthy, sun-kissed warmth that perfectly balances the cool tones of the purple and blue eyes.

Step 5: The Final Pop We topped the look off with a gorgeous Berry Pink Lip Gloss. It’s fresh, fun, and pulls the whole "Bright Eye" look together.
