The "Flower Lip" Reveal
Ideas for makeup can come from anywhere if you keep your eyes open. A dear friend sent me a stunning bouquet of flowers for my birthday. As I looked at the deep, rich tones of the petals fading into softer hues, I saw it—the perfect inspiration for a Contoured Lip.
Nature never uses just one flat color, and your lips shouldn't either! Here is how I translated the beauty of those flowers into a "High-Pop" lip look for my client.
💄 The "Flower Lip" Technique: Step-by-Step
To get a lip that looks multidimensional and lush, you have to think like an artist. We used the contrast of the flower petals to create this "Pop."
Step 1: The Canvas (Prime) | We based her lips with Brighten Cream.
Why? This neutralizes the natural lip color and acts as an "anchor" so the lipstick stays vibrant and doesn't feather throughout the day.
Step 2: The Shadow (Outline) | I used a Chestnut Lip Liner and applied it very heavily to the outer edges.
Why? This contrast is what makes the lips really "pop." It creates a 3D effect that mimics the natural gradient of a blooming flower.
💡 JeTara’s Pro-Tip:
"You can use this 'Flower' trick to contour any lip color. Always choose a liner two shades darker than your lipstick to create that shadow. It’s the fastest way to give yourself a professional lip-lift without a single needle!"
Always check the ingredients before using a new product. Your skin is the largest organ. Remember, some of what you put on your skin can be absorbed into your bloodstream
