Answer: ABSOLUTELY NOT.
One of the biggest misconceptions in beauty is that your liner and lipstick have to be twins. In reality, being "sincere" with your beauty means having the freedom to play! Mixing a different liner and lip color adds depth, dimension, and a custom "pop" that you just can't get from a single tube of lipstick.
Check out these three simple steps I used to create this high-fashion Purple and Pink contrast.
💄 The "Deep Contrast" Lip
The Base: I based my client's lips with a skin-tone Brighten Cream. This creates a clean "white board" so the purple and pink show up exactly how they look in the package.
The Frame: I outlined her lips with a Deep Purple (almost black) Lip Liner. Don't be afraid of the dark color—this is what creates the "sculpted" look!
The Pop: I filled the center of the lips using a Deep Berry Pink. As she pressed her lips together, the pink blended into the purple, creating a gorgeous custom ombré.
💡 JeTara’s Timeless Truth:
"You are free to do what you want to do with YOUR beauty. Rules were made for followers; reveals were made for leaders. If you want a purple line and a pink lip, wear it with confidence. Your beauty, your rules."
Always check the ingredients before using a new product. Your skin is the largest organ. Remember, some of what you put on your skin can be absorbed into your bloodstream
