📸 Behind the Lens: The Boutique Website Shoot

Whenever I need a show-stopping outfit for a special night, my first call is always to the girls at The Boutique. Their eye for style is unmatched! So, I was thrilled when they invited me to come in and head up the makeup for their official website shoot.

Fashion and beauty go hand-in-hand. When you have high-end custom designs and ready-to-wear vintage, the makeup has to be just as curated. We created a look that was "Editorial yet Effortless"—perfect for the modern woman who shops at The Boutique.

✨ Get the Website-Ready Look

To ensure the models looked flawless under the studio lights and translated perfectly to the screen, I used this specific routine:

  • The Brows: We started with the LAMIK Brow Kit. Precision is everything for photography, so remember to clean your brush between every application!

  • The Eyes: * I applied Golden Girl on the lid, blending it into the Sculpting Crème right at the base of the brow bone.

    • For depth, I used the tip of the brush to apply Laid Back in the crease, working from the outside corner to the middle.

    • The Pro-Glow: I placed a tiny dot of Sunny in the inner corner of the eye and under the bottom lash line. This "wakes up" the eyes for the camera.

  • The Definition: I used Dazzle Black inside the lash line to make the lashes look incredibly thick.

  • The Lashes: We finished with high-impact LASHES!

  • The Canvas: We used LAMIK Custom Blend Full Coverage Foundation and True Mineral Powder for a matte, photo-ready finish.

  • The Sculpt: We contoured with I-20 Contour Blush and added a glowy highlight with Dewy Eye Décor.

  • The Lip: To keep it fresh and chic, we lined with Maple Lip Liner and filled with Candied Yams Lip Gloss.
