My client looked at the green shadow and asked, “JeTara, can I really wear green on my eyes for a professional shoot?”
My answer: “OF COURSE!” The secret is in the placement and the blending. Green isn't just for a night out; when done right, it’s a sophisticated "power color."
🎨 Get the Look: Professional Green & Gold
Follow these steps to recreate this high-end, camera-ready look:
The Frame: Fill your brows using your hair-tone brow powder. Highlight under the arch with Brighten Cream for a crisp, clean lift.
The Masterwork (Eyes): * Base: Prep the lid with your skin-tone Brighten Cream.
The Green: Apply Ostrich Green Eye Décor to the lid.
The Depth: Use Southside Purdy Brow Define Powder in the crease to add a professional, matte dimension.
The Inner Light: Highlight the inside corner of the eye with Shine On to make the eyes look awake and bright.
The Brow Bone: Finish with Dewy Eye Décor under the brow.
The Liner: Skip the harsh black. Use your Duet Brow Brush with Laid Back Eye Décor to line the top and bottom. Then, line just under the lower lash line with Dewy to reflect the gold in her dress.
The Lashes: We used LAMIK Individual Lashes (small to medium) for a natural, wispy effect that looks flawless in HD photos.
The Canvas: Highlight under the eyes with a lighter Brighten Cream. Apply Full Coverage Foundation and set everything with True Mineral Powder using a Kabuki brush.
The Sculpt: Use Westside Purdy Brow Define Powder to contour under the cheekbone and apply Easy Does It to the top of the cheekbone for a soft, professional glow.
The Custom Lip: Base the lips with Brighten Cream. Use your Duet Brush to line the lips with I-10 Contour Blush (another pro-secret!) and fill the center with Speechless Lipstick.
📸 The Finished Result
As you can see in the close-up, the green shadow doesn't look "distracting"—it looks like a custom accessory that brings out the depth of her eyes and the richness of her outfit.
Pro-Tip: When your outfit has gold highlights, using a gold-toned highlighter like Dewy or Easy Does It ties the entire look together from head to toe.
💡Timeless Truth:
"Don't be afraid to take a seat at the table in color. A professional look doesn't have to be boring; it just has to be intentional. When you match your makeup to your energy and your attire, you aren't just taking a photo—you're making a statement."
