When skin becomes sensitive or brow hair begins to thin—whether due to health journeys, stress, or age—the way we approach makeup must evolve. It is no longer just about the "look"; it’s about the touch.
If you are navigating a season where your skin needs extra grace, follow my classic guide for a gentle, beautiful brow application that respects your body’s needs.
Before Brow Waxing
5 Steps for Sensitive Brow Care
1. Start with a "Calm Canvas": Before applying color, ensure the skin is hydrated. A tiny amount of a clean, paraben-free moisturizer (like LAMIK Balancing Moisturizer) creates a protective barrier. This prevents pigment from clinging to dry patches and makes removal much easier.
2. Choose Powder Over Pencils: Waxy pencils often require "tugging" or "pulling" to get the color to deposit. For sensitive skin, I always recommend LAMIK Brow Define Powder. It glides on with a soft Power Brow Duo Brush, requiring zero pressure, which protects your delicate hair follicles.3. The "Soft Tap" Technique: Instead of long, sweeping strokes, use a Tap and Blend motion.
Tap: Gently press the powder into the skin where the brow should be.Blend: Use a clean spoolie brush to soft-focus the edges. This prevents irritation and creates a natural, hair-like shadow.
4. Avoid Harsh Adhesives: If you use brow stencils, avoid "sticky" versions that pull on the skin. Hold the stencil manually or use "low-tack" options. Protecting your skin's elasticity is the priority!
5. Cleanse with Kindness: Removal is just as important as application. Never scrub! Use a natural, oil-based cleanser on a cotton round. Hold it over the brow for 10 seconds to "melt" the makeup away, then gently wipe.
After Brow Waxing
💡Timeless Truth
"Your beauty is resilient. When we treat our skin with kindness, we aren't just applying makeup—we are practicing self-care. Take your time, be gentle with yourself, and remember that the frame of your face is a reflection of your strength."

"Keep My Brows Thick!"
I hear these words almost every day. My rule is simple: If you were born with thick brows, keep them thick. If you have thin brows, define them.
The most important thing is having your brows shaped by a professional to fit your unique face shape. Your LAMIK Brow Kit should be used to define and highlight, not to "draw on" or "make" brows from scratch.
Real Results: Softening the Look
A client recently came in with very dark, undefined brows. She was hesitant, but I showed her how the LAMIK Brow Kit (Dark Brown/ Excellence) could transform her look. The powder allowed her brows to stand out without looking too bold or harsh, while the Sculpting Cream cleaned up the edges and concealed hairs that needed waxing.
