When 1426 Fashion Week kicked off, LAMIK wasn’t just behind the scenes—we were leading the way. I had the absolute joy of hosting a Model Workshop, teaching the faces of the future how to prepare their canvas for the runway.

On the catwalk, the lights are hot and the cameras are everywhere. There is no room for error. Whether you are walking the runway or just walking into your day, these 10 tips will ensure your look stays flawless and professional.

📝 The Model’s Makeup Manifesto

Prep is Everything: Always start with a clean, toned, and moisturized face. Use an oil-free moisturizer with oil-absorbing properties to prevent that unwanted runway shine.
The Natural Arch: Brows should follow your natural shape. You should still be able to see the individual brow hairs—don't "block" them in!
The Pop Factor: Always base your eyelid with a crème base before applying shadow. It makes the pigment pop and ensures it lasts through every wardrobe change.
Defined, Not Heavy: Use liner to define, but don't overdo it. Heavy liner weighs the eye down on camera. Pro-Tip: Clean up any fallout under the eyes before applying your foundation.
Clean Lashes: Lashes are a must-have for the stage! They must be applied cleanly with no visible glue.
Maximum Coverage: Use a brighten crème under the eyes and over dark spots. This ensures the bright lights don't wash you out.
Foundation Science: Your foundation must be a perfect match. You can create dimension by using a lighter shade to highlight and a darker shade to contour.
The Power of Powder: Powder is the key to a flawless finish. It locks the look in and keeps oil at bay.
Sculpt the Face: Cheek color defines your structure. Always blend your blush on or around the cheekbone to lift the face.
